Repost:Jesus is my HOMEBOY!
Just repostin this to see how you guys feel. This was actually my second post ever! So yah, long time ago, good times though.....good times. But yah, just comment on this to share your opinions
on it.

Jesus is my homeboy, I don't think so. I have been seeing these shirts everywhere and all I have to say is, not even close. Obviously the "Christians" who wear this shirt haven't thought about it, (That or they don't have the right perspective on who God is.) Jesus is not my homeboy, He is my Lord and Saviour, the son of God and of man, and my personal refuge. Though mainly secular people wear this shirt, they were selling them at Creation west, one of the biggest (if not the biggest) Christian festivals in the country. Peter Fuler, the lead singer of Newsboys, said, "He isn't my homeboy, He's my Lord." So I have to completely agree with him on that. Brother in Christ, Kramer.P.S.DISCUSS!

I believe it is better to have his name out there in some positive way than not at all. The shirts are helping to spread the word that it is ok and "cool" to love the Lord. You don't have to analyze the word "homeboy" as offensive, it could also mean the this is someone you respect, believe in, & LOVE. Only GOD can truly judge. I see it as promoting Jesus, & how can that be bad.
on it.

Well, I would say to "Love" that if you are "getting His name out there" but yet misrepresenting Him and making him out to be way less than what He really is that isn't spreading His name in a positive manner. That term seems to so degrade the name of Christ and take away the infinite value that it has a negative impact for His name rather than positive.
